🎉 BIG NEWS for Eastern Eight! 🏡💗

Today, we were honored to celebrate a $276,210 Tennessee Housing Trust Fund award from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA)! 🎉

This funding will support the rehabilitation and preservation of the Comcare properties in Greene County, helping us continue to provide safe, quality, affordable housing for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The project will provide much-needed improvements that will benefit 36 individuals, including:

Most importantly, this investment helps ensure that 36 individuals can continue to have a safe, affordable place to call home for years to come. ❤️

As students head back to school, we're proud to support local families by helping provide the supplies they need for a successful year! 📚✏️🎒

This week, Eastern Eight Community Development Corporation had the privilege of donating school supplies and reusable water bottles to the Kingsport Housing & Redevelopment Authority and families in Greeneville.

We believe every child deserves to start the school year with confidence, and we're grateful for the opportunity to partner with our communities to make a difference. Wishing all students, teachers, and school staff a safe, successful, and exciting school year!

🏡✂️ What an incredible day!

Thank you to everyone who joined Eastern Eight CDC yesterday as we celebrated the completion of four new affordable rental homes with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

These homes represent more than new construction. They represent opportunity, stability, and our continued commitment to expanding access to quality, affordable housing in our community.
We are sincerely grateful to our partners whose collaboration and investment helped make this project possible:

Rural Studios
Fahe
Tennessee Housing Development Agency
NeighborWorks America
HomeTrust Bank
City of Johnson City

We also want to thank our Board of Directors, staff, elected officials, community leaders, contractors, supporters, and everyone who took time out of their day to celebrate with us. Your encouragement and partnership continue to strengthen our mission and the communities we serve.

We are proud to welcome four more families home and look forward to continuing our work of creating safe, affordable housing opportunities throughout Northeast Tennessee. Thank you for celebrating this milestone with us!
