As students head back to school, we're proud to support local families by helping provide the supplies they need for a successful year! 📚✏️🎒

This week, Eastern Eight Community Development Corporation had the privilege of donating school supplies and reusable water bottles to the Kingsport Housing & Redevelopment Authority and families in Greeneville.

We believe every child deserves to start the school year with confidence, and we're grateful for the opportunity to partner with our communities to make a difference. Wishing all students, teachers, and school staff a safe, successful, and exciting school year!

🏡✂️ What an incredible day!

Thank you to everyone who joined Eastern Eight CDC yesterday as we celebrated the completion of four new affordable rental homes with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

These homes represent more than new construction. They represent opportunity, stability, and our continued commitment to expanding access to quality, affordable housing in our community.

Since Hurricane Helene, Eastern Eight has repaired or is currently repairing 70 homes across Northeast Tennessee:

📍 28 in Carter County
📍 26 in Washington County
📍 7 in Johnson County
📍 9 in other affected counties

We also provided direct assistance to 25 households in the days immediately following the storm.

This work was made possible through the support of the American Red Cross, Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, East Tennessee Foundation, FAHE, United Way of East Tennessee Highlands, NeighborWorks America, ARPA, private donors, and everyone who donated supplies to help our communities recover.

Juneteenth is a day that commemorates freedom and marks the end of slavery in the United States. We join in recognizing the importance of this historic day and hope everyone has a safe and meaningful holiday.
