Today, the Blanco County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office joins Blanco County in mourning the passing of our dear friend and Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace, Judge Randy Brodbeck early this morning.

For more than ten years, Randy was a personal friend to me, and for the past seven years, I had the honor of working closely beside him in service to the people of Precinct 1 and all of Blanco County.

Randy was the kind of man who never met a stranger. His warm smile, friendly nature, and genuine love for others made everyone feel welcome. Whether you came to him seeking guidance, help, or simply a conversation, Randy always took the time to listen. He possessed a wealth of knowledge—not only from his many years as Justice of the Peace, but from a lifetime spent in Blanco County, where he knew its history, its families, and its values better than most.

Judge Brodbeck was deeply respected and beloved by this community. He served with humility, fairness, and compassion, always striving to do what was right. His dedication to the people of Blanco County and his unwavering commitment to public service left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.

On a personal level, I will greatly miss Randy’s friendship, his wisdom, his sense of humor, and the many conversations we shared over the years. Blanco County has lost a truly good man, and heaven has gained a faithful servant.

From all of us at the pct. 1 Constables office, Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Randy’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Judge Randy Brodbeck’s legacy of kindness, integrity, and service will live on in the hearts of the people he touched and the community he loved so deeply.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

🇺🇸 Investing in Leadership to Better Serve Blanco County 🇺🇸

This week, I have the honor of attending the FBI-LEEDA Five Star Chief Executive Institute, an advanced two-week leadership program designed exclusively for executive-level law enforcement leaders from across the United States.

Admission into this program is selective and requires prior completion of FBI-LEEDA’s three-week Leadership Trilogy, along with a demonstrated commitment to professional excellence and servant leadership.

I am also grateful to learn from distinguished leaders such as retired Army Lieutenant General and former Birmingham Alabama Police Chief A.C. Roper, and retired Lakeway Police Chief Todd Radford, whose experience and instruction continue to inspire leaders to serve with humility, courage, and integrity.

While this training brings together some of the finest law enforcement executives in the nation, my purpose for being here is simple: my commitment to my community to become a better leader for the people of Blanco County.

Every class, every discussion, and every lesson learned this week is an investment in the people we are called to serve. The knowledge and leadership principles I gain here will help strengthen the office and enhance the service we provide to our community.

Blanco County is more than the place I work—it is the community my family and I love and call home. It is a blessing and an honor to serve the people of Precinct 1 and all of Blanco County.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”— Colossians 3:23

Working Together to Protect What We Love Most

Today, I had the opportunity to attend the Regional Environmental Task Force (RETF) quarterly meeting alongside Chief Deputy Justin Chase. This partnership brings together ten counties—including Blanco County—all working toward one common goal: protecting the land, water, and communities we are blessed to call home.

Meetings like this matter. They give us the chance to learn, share, and bring back real solutions that help us better serve our ranchers, landowners, and families here in Blanco County. Our way of life depends on the stewardship of this land—and that responsibility is something we take seriously.

Blanco County isn’t just where we work—it’s where we live, raise our families, and build our future. Keeping it clean, protecting our natural resources, and preserving its beauty for the next generation isn’t just part of the job… it’s personal.

We will continue to do our part to keep Blanco County strong, safe, and beautiful.

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

🇺🇸 AFTER 81 YEARS… HE’S COMING HOME 🇺🇸
Blanco County never forgot one of its own.

After 81 years, Dayton Palvato has finally returned home to Blanco County.

Missing since World War II, his sacrifice was never forgotten—only waiting for this moment. Today, a son of this county comes home, and with him, a legacy of service, sacrifice, and honor that has stood the test of time.

Blanco County pauses in gratitude to welcome him home.

Please join us in honoring this American hero. 🇺🇸

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
