A wildfire burned 2500 acres in southwest Kansas before crews were able to bring it under control Friday evening.

Thank you to everyone who helped on the fire yesterday. Chad Gerard for flying. Morton county fire and road department for trucks and hauling water. Walsh fire department. Grant county fire department and grant county road dept for hauling water. Stanton county road department for hauling water. The farmers who had tractors and disks and also hauled water. We couldn’t have done it without all of you.

First Tuesday of the month Training Night: Rescue and Recovery
The department rescue dummy acted as our victim, and we were tasked with finding a safe way to rescue him from the roof of our truck.
