Heartfelt thank you to the South Carolina Arts Commission for awarding us the Horizon Opportunity Project Grant in support of our Paint My Future Project!

This four-week program empowered students to express themselves through art, explore their creativity, and bring their imagination to life on canvas and through a variety of creative mediums. We are truly grateful for your investment in our youth.

Last week, our high school seniors from Strom Thurmond and Ridge Spring-Monetta High School led an impactful L.E.A.D. ME Mentorship session during our Empower ME After School Program.

Conversation centered around real-life topics:
What challenges are you facing?
What makes you happy?
What stresses you?
What kind of man do you want to become?
What is one goal you will start working on this week?

It was more than just a session, it was a moment of reflection, accountability, and leadership in action.

We are incredibly proud of our student leaders!

Congratulations to one of our outstanding student athletes, Dylan!

Dylan has been named FOX54’s A+ Athlete, and we couldn’t be more proud of him. His hard work, dedication, and commitment continue to set a powerful example for others. With an outstanding 5.188 GPA, Dylan is ranked No. 1 in his graduating class, serves as Senior Class President, and is also an early graduate, truly amazing!

In addition to his academic and athletic achievements, Dylan serves as a mentor and STEM Coordinator with us, helping inspire and guide younger students. We are incredibly proud of him and all that he continues to accomplish!

Congrats!

Parent Spotlight: Christi

We don’t just serve children and youth, we serve families.

We are proud to highlight Christi, an incredible mother and a powerful example of strength, love, and dedication.

Christi is a single parent raising six amazing children. She works tirelessly to provide for her family, often working two jobs to ensure that their needs are met.

What stands out most about Christi is her grace and patience. No matter what challenges life brings, she carries herself with a calm spirit and a gentle, soft-spoken voice that reflects her strength and character.

Thank you for being such an inspiring part of our ECYEC family.
