⚔️ Iowa’s Best Warrior Fights On! ⚔️

Staff Sgt. Peterson's journey has been remarkable—rising through state, regional, and national Best Warrior Competitions. He now will lead the Army National Guard’s squad at the elite Army Best Squad Competition. Peterson’s squad, comprised of National Guard Soldiers from five different states, will compete against the active duty Army’s mightiest teams.

The week-long competition will test each squad's technical skills, tactical proficiency, and teamwork through events like the ACFT, weapons lanes, a 12-mile ruck march, and squad drills. The top four teams will then advance to Washington, D.C., for a board-style interview with top Army leaders.

Staff Sgt. Peterson was selected ahead of his peers to be the Army National Guard Squad Leader and will make our state proud as the first-ever Iowa National Guardsmen to compete at this event. 🔥
