Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Dave “Moose” Boyer from all of us at Conemaugh Township fire department, station 610.

Today, we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man.

Dave was more than a leader—he was a mentor, a teacher, and a friend to all of us. His compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to serving others helped shape our team and inspired each of us to be better. He always took the time to guide, encourage, and support those around him, and his impact will never be forgotten.

On behalf of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, we extend our deepest condolences to Dave’s family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched. We are incredibly grateful for the time we shared with him and for the legacy of service, leadership, and kindness he leaves behind.

Dave will be deeply missed by our entire Team 400 family, but his spirit will continue to guide us in the work we do every day.

Rest easy, Dave. We have the watch from here.

Conemaugh Township fire department, station 610, attended touch-a-truck on Saturday. We had a great time talking to and watching all of the children enjoy themselves.
