There will be road closures along Quemohoning Damn Road today for the 2026 Joey's Jackets 1st Annual 5K Road Race. Quemohoning Dam Road will be closed between Summer's Best Lane to Plank Road. The road closure will be between 7am to approximately 9am.

On July 8th, 2026, at approximately 10:54 am, officers conducted a traffic stop on Route 219 Northbound near Mile Marker 48. The stop was initiated due to a vehicle traveling at 82 MPH in a clearly posted 65 MPH zone. During the interaction with the driver, officers observed suspicious behavior. With the driver's consent, a search of the vehicle was conducted. The search revealed a notable quantity of ma*****na. Approximately 120 grams of ma*****na in bud form, valued around $1000, and approximately 30 grams of ma*****na/THC in v**e form were discovered. The driver was taken into custody and subsequently arraigned in front of Judge Bell. 🥦 💨

Update: PennDOT has shut down both lanes until further notice.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Proceed with caution in the 2600 block of Somerset Pike, near C**n Ridge Road, due to a tree hanging over the roadway. Traffic is currently restricted to one lane. PennDOT has been notified and is en route.

On April 26, 2026 officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Main Street for a window tint violation.

During the stop, the operator was retrieving their driver's license from their purse when the officer observed drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view.
Following this discovery, the officers proceeded with a search of the vehicle.

The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, ma*****na, and drug paraphernalia.

Charges have been formally
filed against the individual involved in this incident.

CTPD would like to remind the public of the ongoing efforts to
combat illegal drug use and maintain community safety.
