Established in 1951, the Westwood Volunteer Fire Department operates in and provides fire protection for Lower Yoder Township in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Designated as Station 30, the department responds to a wide range of calls for service along with our sister station, the Lower Yoder Fire Department (Station 23). Both departments are activated on all alarms within the township, less minor

public service calls or EMS assists. The Westwood Fire Department was the most recent of the two to be established, existing primarily due to the rapid development of the Westwood area at that time. Members continue the longstanding tradition that former department leaders emphasized of maintaining a high level of training. In addition, the department has used several state and federal grants to purchase important equipment to provide the best services possible. In short, the Westwood Fire Department has the tools and the training to do the job! For non-emergencies in Cambria County, call 1-800-281-1680 or 814-472-2100
