4. Defamation of character against a Village employee, official or residents;
5. Sexual content or links to sexual content; Solicitations of commerce or advertisements;
6. Illegal content or encouragement of illegal activities;
7. Information that may tend to compromise safety or security of the public or public systems;
8. Accusations or implications that a particular individual is guilty of any criminal conduct or immoral activity. Defamatory material will not be permitted. If a person believes that there is a legitimate basis to make a complaint against the Village, any of its employees or any third party, then appropriate alternative means of registering the complaint must be utilized. Village social media sites are not appropriate forums for registering allegations of criminal activity or other accusations against individuals;
9. Content containing personally identifiable information such as Social Security Numbers or Village employee personal email addresses;
10. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party;
11. Content that violates federal, state or local law. Update: Work was flipped on this schedule this morning, Buena Vista is finished. Starting on Concord.

On 7/30/26 crews will be resurfacing Concord Rd & Buena Vista Dr. Morning work will begin on Concord Rd, they plan to keep one lane open but there could be delays getting on to Concord from connecting roadways. Buena Vista Dr. is planned for later afternoon, please keep the street free of parked cars. Crews will do their best to work quickly and reopen streets fully. Thank you.

Congratulations Sergeant Hargraves!💙

Today, the Johnstown Police Department is proud to recognize the promotion of Gary Hargraves from Police Officer to Sergeant.

Sergeant Hargraves brings 25 years of law enforcement experience, including five years serving the City of Johnstown. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he has also served as a Field Training Officer and Fi****ms Instructor.

He is the recipient of the Medal of Valor and was named Johnstown Police Officer of the Year in 2025.

Please join us in congratulating Sergeant Gary Hargraves on this well-deserved promotion. We look forward to his continued leadership and service to the citizens of Johnstown.

ODOT Leafy Dell/Pershing Road Closure

The Leafy Dell Road entrance/exit and the Pershing Avenue entrance/exit from SR37 will close on Monday, 6/22/26 for a full 30-40 days, weather dependent.

Additional closure Phase 1: 6/22 – 7/10 Babcock Library and Bright Start Day Care entrance from SR37 will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained on SR37.

Phase 2: 7/13 – 7/24 Work shifts to the Pershing side of SR37. Two-way traffic will be maintained on SR37.

Detour for Leafy Dell Road is SR37 to Croton Road to Eagles Nest Ave. to Autumn Leaves Way to Parkdale Dr. to Leafy Dell.
Detour for Pershing Ave. is McCracken Dr./N. Oregon St./Edwards Rd.

US Route 62 is currently closed due to downed powerlines. Officers are directing traffic between Woodgate Court & Meadow Lane, and a Licking County deputy is directing at 37 & 62.

Emergency repairs to a large water main break are under way, the area affected is US62, Meadow Lane to Westview Drive to Benedict Drive. Water service to this area will remain off until the repair is complete, we are hopeful the repairs can be completed in the next eight hours. If you have lost water service, once restored, you will be under a boil alert. US62 traffic will be affected.
