Soldiers and families of the 298th SMC,

As we enter into this holiday season, I want to thank all the Soldiers for all their hard work over the last few months. It’s new beginnings with this organization at a new location where the unit will be able to grow and become even better than what it is now.

Also, I want to thank all the friends and families of our Soldiers who have supported them while they were away for either our annual trainings, battle assemblies, or missions that come down the pipeline. Without you, it wouldn’t happen.

I want everyone to have a great holiday and enjoy the time with your families. Be safe and see you in a few weeks.

Team,

As we go off and enjoy a long needed holiday weekend; please remember to be safe and have a DD. Also take time to reflect what this holiday is for and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this great nation. Thank you for all that you do and thank your family members; without their support we would not be able to wear the uniform.

298th,

This is more for Team Leaders and above but any Soldier can put this in their tool kit. It’s a Hip pocket training aid to explain Mission Command. Remember, the Army teaches every Soldier to continuously improve your fighting position; reading and staying current with topics that the higher commands talk about is the same thing. Thanks for all you do and have a safe rest of your month !

Soldiers of the 298th, friends and family,

The holiday season is here and while it’s a joyous time, the 1SG and I would just like to remind everyone to be safe and have a plan; you can get jolly, if you are of age, and have a DD. Sometimes the holidays are a tough time for people, so reach out to your battles and make sure they are doing alright. If they need resources, please let your chain know so 1SG and I can help.

Lastly, enjoy your time with your friends and family. Once the 1st of the year, we will hit the ground running.

Happy Holidays from the Command team and FTS !

Soldiers of the 298th, make sure to let your first line leaders know that you are safe and at home when it is safe to do so. The weather has hit pretty bad in most of the PA and tri state areas. Stay safe and warm.

377th Theater Sustainment Command

NAS JRB NEW ORLEANS - Congratulations to the 733rd Transportation Company
for earning the Quartermaster General Best of the Best Supply Award. This marks the first time the U.S. Army Reserve has bested the National Guard and active components for the Quartermaster's most prestigious honor. The unit had to first win the Army Reserve Supply Excellence Award before advancing to the next level. 377th Theater Sustainment Command Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Steven Ainsworth, presented coins to Staff Sgt. Armando Feliciano, the supply sergeant for the unit, and Sgt. 1st Class Fortune Ortiz, the training NCO, for their accomplishment.

This year two 377th TSC units also claimed top spots for the maintenance
award. The 353rd Transportation Company landed on top winning the 2016 Army Maintenance Excellence Award in the Medium MTOE category. This marks the
third time the 353rd TC Co. has earned this distinction. Master Sgt. Brent Koch from the 457th TC Battalion accepted the award for the company. The 298th Support Maintenance Company was runner-up for the award with Chief Warrant Officer 3 Miguel Luciano and Sgt. 1st Class William Arnold accepting awards on behalf of the unit for its' efforts. Excellence in action! 316th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), #USArmyReserve
