Capabilities evaluation: Analyze your ope

rations to see if you’re ready to do business with the government. Small business programs: Determine if you are eligible for small business certifications, and assist in certification. Marketing collateral: Guide you through profiling your business, composing a capabilities statement, and getting you listed in government business directories. Market targeting: Help to find the right government buyers for what you sell. Buyer—seller matchmaking: Host events and one-to-one interactions with government buyers and supply chain prospects. Bids and proposals: Assist in organizing your response efforts. Contract administration and management: Help post-award to correctly implement your contract. Education: Provide an ongoing suite of procurement training events. Information: Provide a portal to regulations, government buyers, and other government procurement topics. COSTARS, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's cooperative purchasing program, administered by the Department of General Services, provides a valuable service to thousands of local, public, and non-profit entities. Procurement throught the program's competitively priced on tracts saves member organizations and their local taxpayers millions of dollars by reducing the cost and time associated witht he public bidding procedures.

Procurated helps government, education and healthcare buyers find businesses that have done outstanding work for public organizations. Procurated provides real-time, end-users feedback and customized dashboards, so purchasers get a full picture of vendor performance. Suppliers benefit from this review and rating platform, as there is no better champion for a vendor's business that a customer who has experienced the vendor's strengths and understanding of the uniqueness of government purchasing.

SBA’s HUBZone program fuels small business growth in Historically Underutilized Business Zones with a goal of awarding at least 3% of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies each year. The program uses federal contracts as a stimulus to encourage increased employment opportunities, investment, and other economic development activities in these HUBZone designated areas.

To qualify for the HUBZone program, your business must:

Be a small business according to SBA size standards
Be at least 51% owned and controlled by U.S. citizens, a Community Development Corporation, an agricultural cooperative, an Alaska Native corporation, a Native Hawaiian organization, or an Indian tribe
Have its principal office located in a HUBZone
Have at least 35% of its employees living in a HUBZone
