🇺🇸 For months, Scouts across Pennsylvania have been part of something truly historic.

Through Flags Across Pennsylvania, Scouts have helped carry and honor three American flags—including the Scouting America flag—through all 67 counties of the Commonwealth, leading ceremonies that celebrate patriotism, service, and unity.

Now, that journey continues.

Join Laurel Highlands Council as we welcome the Sojourn Flag to Pittsburgh for Flags United, a powerful celebration on the eve of America’s 250th birthday. This special event brings together Scouts, community leaders, veterans, and patriotic partners to honor the values that unite us.

Scouts from Troop 2098 and 2622 along with Sheriff Don Robertson and Cambria County Commissioner Keith Rager participating in the Cambria County location of the Scouting America Light to Unite - Flags Across the Commonwealth program. Today's flag raising is part of a statewide effort brining together Scouting America councils and all 67 County Sheriffs in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Today's ceremony is just one stop on the journey that will conclude on Flag Day, June 14th and then on July 3rd the flags will be escorted to Washington DC to be flown at the Capital and then given to the Smithsonian for display at the 300th anniversary of the United States.
