Upper Yoder Township

Upper Yoder Township Upper Yoder Township is located in the southwest corner of Cambria County and borders Westmoreland and Somerset Counties. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

It is situated at the foothills of the Laurel Mountains and is a mix of both rural and residential development. The Southwest section is mostly farmlands punctuated with rolling hills and mountain ridges. The Township is 11.7 square miles in area with 24.48 miles of accepted Township Roadways and traversed by several major highways. The population of the Township as of the last 2020 Census is 5,14

7, however, the daytime population swells to approx. 10,000 people. The Township is governed by a five-person elected Board of Supervisors which meets at the Township Municipal Building, 110 Sunray Drive., Suite 1, Johnstown, PA 15905 every third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Further information can be obtained at the Township Office. Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays.

⚠️ Customer Safety & Storm Preparedness Tips
As storms move through our area, FE PA encourages everyone to stay weather‑aware, have a plan, and put safety first:
• Stay at least 30 feet away from downed power lines — call 911 immediately
• Secure loose outdoor items (garbage cans, furniture, trampolines)
• Charge phones and essential devices
• Keep flashlights, batteries, and a radio ready
• Store water if you rely on a well pump
• Have no‑cook foods available
• Avoid trees and utility poles during high winds

How to Report an Outage
If you lose power during the storm:
• Call 1‑888‑LIGHTSS (1‑888‑544‑4877)
• Text OUT to LIGHTS (544487)
• Report online: firstenergycorp.com/outages

Get Outage Updates
• Text REG to 544487 to enroll in outage alerts
• Once enrolled, text STAT to 544487 for status updates
• Log into your online account
• View outage maps at firstenergycorp.com/outages
