🎟️ Northridge Athletic Boosters Dinner Auction Tickets Now On Sale!

Tickets are now available for the annual Northridge Athletic Boosters Dinner Auction supporting our student-athletes and athletic programs!

📅 Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
📍 Location: B. Carr Pavilion at The Hartford Fairgrounds
⏰ Schedule:
• Doors Open: 5:00 PM
• Dinner: 6:00 PM
• Live Auction: 7:00 PM

🎟️ TICKETS & VIP TABLES

General Admission ($40): Includes admission, dinner, dessert, silent auction, live auction, and event games.

Half VIP Table ($500): 4 seats + hors d’oeuvres, dinner & dessert.

Full VIP Table ($1,000): 8 seats + hors d’oeuvres, dinner & dessert.

🎉National Principals Month Spotlight 🎉

We are so grateful for our High School Principal, Mrs. Rebecca Brechbill!

Now in her 25th year at Northridge - wearing many hats along the way, including teacher, coach, dean, and assistant principal, before becoming the incredible leader she is today. Mrs. Brechbill leads our high school with heart, vision, and dedication to student success both inside and outside the classroom.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Mrs. Brechbill is a devoted educator and family woman—married 26 years to her husband Ryan, mom to sons Jacob and Sean!

When we say Mrs. Brechbill can do everything, check her out at the National FFA Convention this week.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes: A Special Visit from Honor Flight! 🇺🇸

Yesterday, our 4th and 5th-grade students had the absolute privilege of welcoming Honor Flight to our school!

We were deeply honored to host US Navy Veteran and Veteran Ambassador Mr. Richard (Rich) Gandarillas, who shared inspiring stories about his time in service and the incredible mission of the Honor Flight program.

Mr. Gandarillas left our students with a powerful Call to Action:
1️⃣ Prepare for life through the power of education.
2️⃣ Thank a Veteran for their service and help spread the word about the Honor Flight program.

To make the day even more memorable, every student and teacher received a military branch duck! 🦆🎖️

This meaningful visit reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our Military-Connected Youth and Families as a proud Purple Star Elementary School.

Vikings, tomorrow (Friday, October 23rd) is the FINAL DAY to bring in donations for the Johnstown Northridge Food Pantry!

Let’s end this food drive strong and stock those pantry shelves! Don't forget—the classroom in each building with the most items wins a Pizza Party sponsored by the Knights of Columbus! 🏆🍕

Quick Reminder on Rules:
✅ Non-perishable, shelf-stable food & cash donations welcome!
✅ 2 ramen packages = 1 item | 1 roll of toilet paper = 1 item
❌ No bottled water, soda, candy, or home-canned items

💚 VIKING HERO SPOTLIGHT: NATALIE STYLES 💚

Northridge Local Schools proudly recognized bus driver Natalie Styles as a local hero during the September school board meeting for her extraordinary actions in protecting our students.

On the morning of September 4, Natalie was driving her regular bus route when an oncoming semi-truck struck the bus’s side-view mirror, sending it through her open window and hitting her in the head.

Despite this frightening and unexpected impact, Natalie remained calm, safely brought the bus to a stop, secured the vehicle, and immediately checked on every student aboard before calling for emergency assistance. Thanks to her quick thinking, extensive safety training, and remarkable composure, no students were injured.

During the board meeting, Natalie was honored by district leaders and board members, surrounded by her family, and presented with flowers as a token of appreciation for her heroic actions.

Natalie, thank you for going above and beyond and for demonstrating what it truly means to put the safety of our students first. Your courage, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to our Northridge Vikings make us incredibly proud! 🚌💚

This isn't just a trip—it's a premier hands-on learning experience. Our students will join nearly 70,000 peers to explore national career fairs, connect with agricultural industry leaders, and participate in intensive leadership workshops to prepare for their futures.
