Flashlight Tours are BACK starting September 17th. We will conduct self-guided Flashlight Tours everything Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:30PM (first admission) until 10PM (last admission.)
OJP merchandise, cold drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase on Flashlight Tour evenings through October 31st!

Just a few days until Cars Behind Bars takes over the Old Joliet Prison for the 4th annual show! Sunday, August 2nd, from 12PM-5PM.

Over 300 vehicles to view! Admission at the East Gate on Collins Street will begin promptly at 12PM and tickets will be $15. See you there! 🚗🏍️

The Old Joliet Prison has the most unique ballpark around. Looking to get your youth team some field time? ⚾

We're opening applications up to youth team programming for the remainder of the 2026 year. Every Saturday starting August 8th through August 29th, from 10:30AM-1:30PM, teams will get the chance to play in the Big House. ✨

The Joliet Area Historical Museum will only be accommodating single games/practices for the 2026 season. Tournaments will not be considered at this time. Priority will be given to youth teams in the Joliet area. Forms filled out for the end of the 2026 season will be kept and considered for future use/communications.

The Old Joliet Prison, as well as all Joliet Area Historical Museum sites, will be closed on July 4th, 2026, in observance of Independence Day! All JAHM sites will be open on Sunday, July 5th, during regular business hours.

We will be closed today, Wednesday, July 1st, due to the ongoing heat advisories. 🌡

We have made this decision in order to keep our wonderful visitors and fabulous staff safe from the heat! We appreciate your support and understanding while we struggle through this hoooot 🔥 weather.

Looking for something cool to do that will KEEP you cool? Visit the Joliet Area Historical Museum today! Pay What You Wish Admission gets you inside the door and you can grab a cold Route 66 Soda or Water from the giftshop... and maybe fun merchandise too!

We look forward to inviting guests back tomorrow, but until then, visit the Joliet Museum and other businesses downtown Joliet! 😄
