Thank you for coming to our Reuse and Event this year! Nearly 2,500 residents came by to drop off an estimated 115,000 books throughout the weekend, and about 15,000 books were recycled at the end of the event. Many thanks to the Joliet Park District and Pilcher Park Nature Center for hosting us.

Next year's event is scheduled for Friday, June 4, through Sunday, June 6, 2027, at the Pilcher Park Nature Center. Hope to see you there!

Every month, various locations across Will County accept unwanted computers, TVs, and other from residents at no cost in Bolingbrook, Channahon, Frankfort, Lockport, Manhattan, New Lenox, Peotone, and Wilmington. Any resident in Will County may visit any site during operating hours to drop off electronics for . Many thanks to our site hosts! Will County staff and volunteers have been working all week to set up for the Reuse and Event at the Park Nature Center this weekend. Drop off and/or take home books for free this Friday through Sunday, May 29 through 31, from 9 AM to 4 PM each day, at 2501 Highland Park Drive, Joliet. Find more information on our website:

Water Conservation Night with the Joliet Slammers returns July 7, 2026, hosted by Will County and the City of Joliet, Illinois, Government! Enjoy fun, family-friendly activities and giveaways on the concourse and fill out a water pledge for a chance to win a rain barrel or water conservation kit. Gates open at 5:35 PM, and the game starts at 6:35 PM.

What are your hopes for Will County's future? Let us know! Share your input on , , , and other topics to help shape how Will County grows and thrives in the next 10 to 15 years. Your feedback will inform GUIDE WILL, a forward-looking update to Will County’s Land Resource Management Plan that will guide future decision-making.

Looking forward to joining City of Lockport, Illinois, Government's Recycling Resource Fair this Saturday. Hope to see you there!

🌎♻️ Recycle, Learn & Make a Difference! ♻️🌎

Join us for the Recycling Resource Fair on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot at 201 W. 10th Street!

This fun and informative community event will bring together local organizations and vendors sharing helpful resources on recycling, waste reduction, and simple ways to live a little greener. 🌱

Have old clothing or housewares you no longer need? Simple Recycling will be on-site, collecting items for recycling.

📱Need to get rid of old electronics? Bring them with you! Electronic recycling will also be accepted by Public Works, with a limit of 2 TVs and 2 monitors per vehicle.

You can also bring your plastic bags to be collected by the Lockport Township High School Interact Club for recycling! ♻️

Stop by, visit the booths, ask questions, learn something new, and help make a positive impact right here in our community. 💚

Will County's Book Reuse and Recycling Event returns Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31, 2026! Residents are invited to bring hard and soft cover books to share or recycle between 9 AM and 4 PM each day at the Pilcher Park Nature Center (2501 Highland Park Drive in Joliet). Everyone is welcome to browse and take home donated books as well. This event is free and a great place to find children's books and many more!
