How does EMA recharge? Turns out…a little bit of everything! 💚

For Mental Health Awareness Month, we asked our staff what they do to recharge and support their mental health. Their answers included:

🏕️ Camping and vacations
🎧 Audiobooks and podcasts — especially true crime and thrillers
🏒 Playing ice hockey
🌱 Yard work
☀️ Getting outside for fresh air and sunshine
🐾 Long walks with the dog
🌅 Quiet evenings on the patio with family
✈️ Traveling
📚 Reading a good book
⚖️ Finding that important work-life balance

Taking care of your mental health does not have to look the same for everyone. Sometimes it’s an adventure, sometimes it’s a good book, and sometimes it’s just slowing down and enjoying a quiet moment.

Now we want to hear from you: What helps you recharge? Drop your favorite reset in the comments! 💬

Training never stops! 🚐

Here’s a view from the spotter position during Command Van training.

When moving a vehicle this size, teamwork matters. The spotter helps keep an extra eye out for low-clearance areas, bridges, wires, tight turns, and other hazards along the route.

It’s one more way our team trains to stay ready before we’re needed. 👏
