Joliet Public Schools District 86 Joliet Public Schools District 86 provides high quality public education to students in grades PreK-8.

The District covers 26.4 square miles in the city of Joliet, Illinois that includes 21 schools serving approximately 9,700 students. Joliet Public Schools District 86 is committed to educating learners for life. All stakeholders have been involved to make this a successful process. We believe that our Vision Statement, along with the Mission Statement supported by Statements of Belief will support the educational programs for all students, employees, board, parents and community.

Special shout-out to our Forest Park, Eisenhower, Taft, Jefferson, and Culbertson families for sending your students to school every day. These schools came out on top for student attendance for August. Dirksen led our junior high schools at 94.53%. Our schools love a good competition!
