Wow what a weekend! 🚁🏁 We were proud to provide medical standby coverage for the return of NASCAR at Chicagoland Speedway. With thousands of fans, roaring engines, and speeds topping 180 mph, our crew was prepared to respond at a moment's notice—because safety is always a top priority. Thankfully, it was a great weekend, and we're honored to have been part of such an exciting event

One of the coolest parts of this job is crossing paths with your sister ship while both crews are out doing what they do best—caring for patients and serving our communities. There’s always something special about meeting up at the vertiport, sharing a quick hello, and then lifting off in different directions back to base. 📣 Help us give a warm welcome to our newest flight nurse, BRIDGET! 🚁🩺✨

While she has over 10 yrs of nursing experience spanning from the ER💉, Pediatric ER 🧸🩹, ICU, and pediatric transport🚑, Bridget brings an incredible depth of knowledge and compassion to the team. When she’s not caring for patients, you can find her in the garden, reading a good book 📖 , doing Pilates 🧘🏼‍♀️, or spending time with family and friends. She’s also a Chicago Marathon finisher… though she says once was enough 😂🏃‍♀️. And if you’re ever looking for her after shift? There’s a good chance she’s somewhere enjoying Italian food and eating pasta. 🍝☺️

This week, we celebrate the backbone of EMS — our incredible paramedics. 🚁⚡️

At our base, our medics show up every shift ready for whatever comes next. Whether it’s a scene call in the middle of nowhere, a critical interfacility transfer, or a patient having the worst day of their life, they bring unmatched skill, composure, and heart every single time.

Our flight paramedics work side-by-side with our flight nurses as one team, and EMS Week is the perfect time to spotlight the medics who bring so much strength, knowledge, grit, and humor to this job. The ability to make split-second decisions, adapt under pressure, and provide elite-level care in unpredictable environments is something truly special — and they do it with passion and dedication day after day.

They are problem-solvers, teammates, advocates, leaders, and some of the hardest-working people we know. They make difficult calls look effortless, keep the crew grounded when things get chaotic, and somehow still manage to bring laughter to even the toughest shifts.

To our flight paramedics: thank you for the sacrifices you make, the care you provide, and the passion you bring to this profession. Our base would not be the same without you, and we are beyond proud to work alongside you🩵.

Happy Nurses Week to our incredible nurses here at Lifestar. 🚁💉❤️

The ones who can manage chaos, keep patients alive, crack a joke in the middle of a disaster, survive on caffeine and EMS room snacks, and still show up ready to do it all over again the next shift.

This crew is something special. The teamwork, the dark humor, the hard training, the long nights, the trust we have in each other, and the way everyone always steps up when it matters most — that’s what makes this place feel like family.

Thank you for the hard work, the grit, the compassion, and for being the kind of people anyone would want beside them on the worst day of their life. Proud to work alongside every one of you.

Today is World Pilots Day 🚁✈️ and we honor and want to thank these wonderful pilots for all that they do… Each and every day! Today we want to shout-it-out and celebrate our amazing pilots who are the backbone of our life-saving missions. Their skill, dedication and courage make care possible when it matters most. We see the judgment, the calm, and the consistency you bring to every mission, and it never goes unnoticed. But just as important, we appreciate who you are as teammates—the conversations between calls, the support on the tough ones, and the way you always have our backs. We’re proud to fly with you, and feel safe doing so. No mission is done alone. SHAUN, RYAN, KURT, & SARA…. Thank You! To the best team we have.. couldn’t ask for anyone better to put up with us med crew and listen to us blabber all day 😉 Thanks for taking care of us, so we can take care of them. 💜🩵🚁👩🏼‍✈️👨🏼‍✈️
