Dear Senior Rate Customers,

We regret to inform you that the most recent invoice reflects an incorrect amount due. The senior rate has been increased from $40 to $50 this month, but the invoices are currently showing $55.

Kindly refrain from paying the $55 amount. Instead, please remit the correct amount of $50. If you inadvertently pay the $55, a $5 credit will be applied to your account.

We have initiated a ticket with QuickBooks to address this issue promptly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

July 4, 2026

We extend our warmest wishes for a safe and joyous Fourth of July to all.

This communication serves as a cautionary note regarding the ongoing power outages in our area. While both pump houses are currently operational, we experienced a brief power outage this morning that did not impact water pressure.

We are diligently monitoring weather conditions and system performance. Should another power outage occur, water supply may be disrupted within a short timeframe.

In the event of a power outage at the pump houses, we kindly request that residents minimize water usage. Our generator, which was deemed inoperable following previous ComEd issues, has not yet been replaced due to insufficient funds. The replacement cost exceeds $50,000.

To address this financial shortfall, we will implement an assessment in the future to cover the necessary expenses.

We are committed to ensuring a continuous water supply. However, we acknowledge that in the event of a power outage, water service may be temporarily suspended.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging period. Please monitor our communications for any updates.

8:14 pm. Update on ComEd outage on 6-10-26.

We have communicated with ComEd. At present, they do not have a restoration timeframe. The area was affected by a tornado, as informed by the ComEd representative. Due to the extensive damage, they are unable to provide a restoration time. Several pieces of equipment and transformers were damaged. This is the primary reason why the area remains without power. Currently, we are without power at both locations. We have a generator at one of the locations, but it failed to start. Lionheart has indicated that the generator is beyond repair and that we are unable to obtain the necessary parts for repairs. We will replace the generator once we have saved up the required funds. This necessitates an assessment in the near future to replace the generator. Regrettably, due to the current situation, we are at ComEd’s mercy. We sincerely hope that they will be able to restore power as soon as possible. As we acquire further information, we will update the page. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this challenging time.

We are experiencing a power outage. Due to the power keeping flickering we have shut down the well pumps to prevent damage. We will turn them back on once the power has stabilized. At this time we are asking customers to limit water usage until the power is restored. Please check back for updates.

Update 1: Due to the flicking power we have chosen to shut down the well pumps until the power stabilizes. At this time we are asking customers to only use the water if absolutely necessary. If the power is not restored in a few hours we will be without water. At this time the pressure will be low until the power is restored. We are without power at both locations and we have not been able to get the generator to turn on so we cannot run on emergency power. We are in the process of trying to locate someone to come check it out. Please check back for updates. Please be safe and if you’re outside there are lots of trees and debris on the roadways.

Update on the water main break: the contractor experienced an unforeseen emergency and was unable to arrive on-site today to address the issue. He has confirmed that he will be on-site Saturday morning to complete the necessary repairs. We recognize that water pressure is lower than usual during peak hours and regret that this situation will continue until the repair is completed on Saturday. We appreciate your patience and understanding that unexpected events can happen, and we are doing our best to maintain the pressure until the issue is fixed. If you have any questions, please call or text us at 815-955-9833.

Update: LEAD & COPPER INSPECTION

We are currently conducting the Lead and Copper Inspections. Due to the high volume of customers who have not been home to complete the inspection, we are extending the time frame. We anticipate completion by May 1, 2026.

If you are unable to meet with us in person or prefer to complete the survey over the phone, please contact us at 815-955-9833 to answer the questions via phone. Alternatively, you can complete the survey by messaging us on Facebook as well.

The state has categorized this inspection as a survey that must be performed annually. If we do not receive a call or text within a reasonable timeframe, we will continue to visit the home until the survey is completed. This is a mandatory 100% completion rate requirement by the ILEPA.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all customers contributing to the successful completion of this inspection/survey.
