As we transition into spring in Oklahoma, we want to remind everyone to register your storm shelters or interior safe rooms with us.

During storm season, we want to make sure our list is up to date so we can ensure a quick response and coordinated search and rescue efforts if needed.

You can call or stop by city hall and give your information to the city clerk who will put the information into our list. Jones city hall 405-399-5301

Thank you.

Congratulations to Tessa and Justin on their healthy arrival, Justin also volunteers at Jones fire dept in his spare time.

On Wednesday, Justin and Tessa rushed to Mercy to deliver their first child. They were about halfway when both realized they would not make it. Justin, a licensed paramedic with Guthrie Fire, pulled his truck over to deliver their child on the side of the highway. During the delivery, Justin noticed something was wrong, and the cord had become wrapped around the neck. Thankfully, he remained calm, relied on his training, and removed the cord from around the neck. Despite the craziness of the moment, Justin and Tessa were able to welcome their healthy baby boy, Axton, to the world. What an incredible story! Guthrie Fire and EMS wanted to say congratulations to your family!
