JYCG was OUTSIDE this weekend… and when we say OUTSIDE, we mean OUTSIDE! 🙌
We kicked things off at Clayton County District 1 Commissioner Alaina Reaves’ End of Summer Cookout, where JYCG was truly all hands on deck. From directing traffic and helping with setup to checking on vendors, managing the bounce houses, and stepping in wherever we were needed, our team was ready to serve.
But the volunteering shift didn’t stop there! 😅
Later that same evening, JYCG headed over to the She Is the Village Gala, founded by Kendra Joy Emeruem, celebrating and supporting single mothers. Our members served as ushers, helped serve food, provided event support, and once again jumped in wherever there was work to be done.
Two events. One day. A whole lot of service.
This is what Jonesboro Youth City Government is about. We believe in showing up for our community, supporting our neighbors, and being willing to help wherever our hands are needed.
So yes, you will continue to see JYCG outside—not just talking about making a difference, but getting out into the community and doing the work.
If there’s work to be done, don’t be surprised if you see JYCG there.
