Why am I running?

As a graduate and lifelong resident of Clayton County. I came from a successful and rewarding career in retail to give back and help promote the county which has done so much for me. No longer can the association that is supposed to represent and protect teachers sit on the sidelines while educators are expected to constantly adapt. A voice of advocacy needs to be present and heard from that represents the educators of Clayton County. The school board and superintendent Dr. Beasley have done a great job, but it is time to have a representive for the educators in the room. Clayton County Education Association should become once again the premier association for the advocacy of educators.
