Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedoms. Memorial Day is more than a holiday—it is a day of gratitude, reflection, and remembrance.

As we spend time with family and friends, let us never forget those who gave everything in service to our nation and the families who carry that sacrifice every day.

May we honor their memory not only today, but always.

God bless our fallen heroes, their families, and the United States of America. 🇺🇸

Yesterday’s election was one of the most challenging elections we have faced as we implemented Louisiana’s new Closed Party Primary system for the very first time.

I want to personally thank Election Commissioners across Jackson Parish and all across the State of Louisiana for the time, dedication, and countless hours you devote to ensuring our elections are conducted fairly, accurately, and professionally. Your work often happens behind the scenes, but it is essential to preserving confidence in the electoral process.

I also want to thank our voters for their patience and understanding throughout the day. I know the new process created confusion for many, but your cooperation and kindness were greatly appreciated.

And finally, thank you to my incredible staff at the Jackson Parish Clerk of Court’s Office. Your dedication, commitment and teamwork made this election successful. I am extremely proud of all of you.

Elections are never easy, but yesterday showed what can be accomplished when people step up, work together, and stay committed to serving the public.

We will now begin preparing for the June 27th election and I ask all Jackson Parish voters to do just one thing — exercise your right to vote! Your vote is your voice!!
