October is Fire Prevention Month!

This month is all about raising awareness and helping our community stay safe. Fires can happen when we least expect them, but with the right steps, many can be prevented.

*Test your smoke alarms monthly
*Have a fire escape plan and practice it with your family
*Never leave cooking unattended
*Check extension cords and replace damaged ones

A little preparation today can make all the difference tomorrow. Let’s work together to keep our community safe!

We’ve received some rain in the area, but conditions remain very dry. Please use extreme caution with any outdoor burning.

Even with moisture on the surface, the ground and vegetation are still highly susceptible to fire spread.

Help us keep our community safe always follow burn regulations, never leave a fire unattended, and have water nearby when burning.

Thank you for doing your part to prevent fires!

🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to remember the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger when our nation needed them most.

343 firefighters, 60 police officers, 8 paramedics and countless others made the ultimate sacrifice that day. Their bravery and selflessness continue to inspire us in the fire service and beyond.

As we remember the past, we also renew our commitment to serve and protect our own community with that same dedication.
