CASA 2nd Judicial District-Arkansas CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates speaks up for the best interest of children in foster care in Clay, Craighead, Greene, Mississippi and Poinsett.

CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens as officers of the court. In an overburdened social welfare system, abused and neglected children often slip through the cracks among hundreds of current cases. CASA volunteers change that. CASA volunteers handle no more than two cases at a time—and commit to staying on the cases until the child is placed in a safe, permanent

home. While others may come and go, CASA volunteers provide that one constant that children need in order to thrive. Being a CASA volunteer does not require any special education or background, simply the desire to help abused and neglected children find safe, permanent homes. Help change the odds for a child. Thank You to Our Speaker, Janie Hay, from Select Properties

Janie recently poured into our Building Better Futures program, spending intentional time with youth ages 13–21 who are living at CYS or preparing to transition into independent living. 💙

Through guidance, encouragement, and meaningful conversation, she helped equip our youth with tools and confidence for the future.This month’s focus was being a good tenant and learning the basics of renting and home buying.
We are incredibly grateful for Janie’s time, knowledge, and heart for serving the next generation.

Once a month, we’ll be popping up at different local coffee shops across NEA to sit down, connect, and share what CASA is all about. Whether you’re just curious, have questions, or feel a pull to get involved, this is a simple, no-pressure way to learn more.

We are beyond grateful to have been chosen as this year’s beneficiary and want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who made this event possible.
