At International Studies, our globally focused initiatives, coupled with our adaptation of The Ron Clark Academy, create well-rounded students prepared to move forward with their educational career and into the workforce. Our students’ daily activities are filled with many innovative and up-to-date experiences. New to International Studies is our EAST Lab, the only one of its kind at the elementar
y level in Northeast Arkansas, which gives students a one-of-a-kind opportunity to immerse themselves in the use of technology to use their critical thinking skills to solve world problems. Working collaboratively with the EAST program, our ACE program encourages accelerated learners to challenge the status quo and create unique, individualized experiences for themselves. Our rotation activities feature a class unique to International Studies, Spanish and World Culture. Each student in our building receives a weekly 40 minute segment focused on the acquisition of the Spanish language and global competency. Our other activity classes include P.E., Music, Art, and Library, all featuring state-of-the-art equipment to support content-based learning, as well as the infusion of core subjects. In the regular classroom, our highly qualified teachers provide dynamic instruction using Wit and Wisdom, CKLA, and iReady Math curriculums. Students receive attention based on their individual needs and are scaffolded appropriately to meet the high rigor of the curriculum.
