The 🚑JPASD🚑Life Jacket Loaner Safety Program started June of 2025 with the grant assistance of the Sea Tow Foundation. The life jacket stand was placed at the🏊‍♀️ swimming area 🏊‍♀️of Jimmie Davis State Park 🛝 with great feedback. We are excited to announce that the Pledge 10 - Jonesboro State Bank grant expanded this program into 2 more sites located now at the🚤 Caney Lake Landing boat launch 🛟 and the 🚤Marina Spillway Boat launch 🛟. Thank you to everyone involved in making this possible for the safety of our residents and the visitors to our great Parish. 🚣‍♀️🚣🚣‍♂️

The program is about helping parents and caregivers understand the frustrating features of crying in normal, healthy infants that can lead to shaking or abuse. The program provides the opportunity for parents to learn about the crying characteristics from over 50 years of research on normal infant crying.
