Sean Calaway

UPD Officer Sean Calaway began his law enforcement career at the Craighead County Sheriff's Office as a jailer before joining the Arkansas State University Police Department.

On March 26th 2019, two male subjects entered a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot while the owner was inside. JPD officers were sent to investigate. While officers were still investigating it, UPD Officer Sean Calaway attempted to stop a vehicle near 301 N. Caraway Rd. The vehicle fled and the occupants bailed out on foot behind the apartments. Off. Calaway gave chase. After receiving information about the break in at Walmart, Off. Calaway recognized the subjects in the photo as the same that had ran from him. He was able to locate their address and effectively make arrests, quickly closing this case.

For this, among other reasons, UPD Officer Sean Calaway was nominated and ultimately selected for Jonesboro FOP Officer of the Month for March 2019

Christmas just got a lot brighter for several families in Jonesboro! 🎄🎁

The Jonesboro Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is working with the Arkansas State University Police Criminal Investigation Division to solve a string of burglaries that include several thousands of dollars worth of items, including several Christmas presents - some still wrapped!

ASU PD located a suspect yesterday afternoon with several stolen items in his vehicle that were linked to numerous area burglaries and BNEs. These items are being returned to the families quickly, and JPD is working on identifying those that have not been claimed.

UPD officers are completing CPR and first aid refresher training this week. Our officers train and prepare for many situations including emergency medical care. We are looking forward to the Pack returning next week! Wolves Up!
