We want to send a huge congratulations to our FCS/4-H Program Assistant, Sarah Ballance, for winning the 2026 TEAFCS Paraprofessional Award for TN! TEAFCS is our state professional association for Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS).

Sarah has worked in our office for 6 years starting off as a TNCEP Program Assistant where she taught countless individuals about healthy eating and stretching their food dollars. Then last year transitioned to work with the overall FCS program and 4-H program, where she leads the 4-H Homeschool program, teaching youth cardio drumming, offering nutrition classes, and being a 4-H Shooting Sports Coach, just to name a few!

We are SUPER proud for Sarah!

We concluded our Spring Season of 4-H Shooting sports with a member of each of our Archery and BB teams traveling to represent our county at the State Jamborees! We are so proud of them and are excited to see what the future holds for our shooting sports teams!
🎯Congratulations to Thomas for bringing home 4th place in Open Compound Bow at the Archery Jamboree🎯

If anyone is interested in helping these kiddos grow and learn, we are searching for adult volunteers who would be interested in coaching either of our teams. With the program growing, we need all the help we can get from 4-H volunteers to make these practices possible!
📲 If this is something you would be interested in helping with for the upcoming seasons, please call our office at 423-753-1650
