Jerry Russell Rail Trail Closed Thursday and Friday.

Our Department of Public Works (DPW) are hard at work with storm clean up, trimming and general maintenance at the south half of the Jerry Russell Rail Trail (next to Udder Side,) please stay clear of the rail trail until they've completed the work.
The DPW staff are operating heavy machinery in a very tight area, for pedestrian safety DPW is asking to please stay clear of the rail trail until they are completely done.

HYDRANT FLUSHING SCHEDULE – at Orville Street, Harley Street and Beck Street

The City of Jonesville will be Hydrant Flushing on Friday, July 31st at Orville Street, Harley Street and Beck Street. Water customers may experience rusty or cloudy water or low water pressure. Customers are advised to run cold water in a bathtub or utility sink until the water runs clear again.

Flushing removes sediment and other deposits that accumulate over time inside of water pipes. It improves water flow to homes and businesses and assists the Fire Department with proper flows for fire suppression. It is also intended to assure that the water system, pumps, valves, and hydrants are working properly.

Please contact City Hall at (517) 849-2104 with any questions.

CLEARING STORM DEBRIS - Monday, July 13th
Our Public Works staff has begun the process of clearing tree debris that fell during last week’s storm. Please place limbs, brush, etc. from your property near the street. Due to the size and amount of materials that need to be removed, we will be using heavy equipment/tractors to remove limbs, brush, etc. starting Monday, July 13th. This will take a while, but we will get things cleaned up.

Thanks for your patience as we work our way around town. Thanks, too, if you are able to trim debris to manageable lengths to help our staff clear things quicker.
