If you’re planning to celebrate Spring Break, March Madness, St. Patrick’s Day, or some other special event, make sure to also plan for a safe and sober ride for anyone who needs it. The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety reminds all Missourians about the importance of choosing a completely sober ride, such as a rideshare, a designated driver, or a taxi. Law enforcement will be out in full force from March 17 through April 23, removing impaired drivers from the roadway.

Even if you are walking, riding a bike, or using a scooter, having a safe way to reach your destination is imperative. And remember, alcohol isn't the only substance that can cause impairment. Here's a good rule to follow: If you feel different, you drive different. Don’t let anyone drive impaired.

On Thursday, 3-16-23, we will be providing covid vaccinations during the lunch hour as well as in the afternoon at our office located at 321 E 4th Street. Appointments are preferred during this time, with walk-ins accepted based on staff availability.

First Impact, a FREE program offered by ThinkFirst Missouri, will be in Joplin on Thursday, March 2nd.

This traffic safety program educates parents about Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) law as well as providing them with the tools needed to monitor, coach, and support their new teen driver. The target audience is parents, grandparents, guardians or foster parents of teen drivers and teens.

enrollment has begun and we're here to help families prepare. We print birth certificates for those born in Missouri for $15 each. We also provide school immunizations for students attending school in Joplin.

Special for the little ones, a “Kindergarten Round-up” vaccine clinic will be held on Tuesday, 2-21-23, from 9 to 11am and 1 to 4pm. Appointments are encouraged to decrease wait times. Bring the student's shot record to receive immunizations. Contact your pediatrician before coming to the vaccine clinic if you don't already have a copy of your student's shot record.
