Debbie Fort is a veteran educator, having served the Joplin School District for twenty-five years. She was principal of Irving Elementary School when she retired in 2013. After thirty-three years of service in public schools, Debbie now serves Missouri Southern State University as an Academic Skills Advisor. Currently, Debbie serves as a member of the executive and finance boards at the Alliance o

f Southwest Missouri, and as an adjunct professor for Northwest State University. Debbie earned her Bachelor of Science in Education at Missouri Southern State University, her Master of Science in Counseling at Pittsburg State University, and her Education Specialist in Administration Degree from Missouri State University. She obtained a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University. Debbie has been married to her husband, Jim, for thirty-three years. Together they have raised their three children and now enjoy their six grandchildren.
