The Garfield County Sheriff's Office is a law enforcement agency that covers the whole county. It has a total area of 4,848 square miles; 4668 square miles land and 179 square miles of water. Fort Peck Lake is located at the north and east and the Musselshell River on the west of the county. The majority of the population is agricultural based with several farms and ranches. Jordan is the county seat and is home of the only high school.
