Day 4: Today, was a bittersweet day for our team. Our students worked hard at the church to make sure everything was finished before we had to leave. The church now has 4 clean and freshly painted classrooms that they haven’t been able to use for years. Though we are tired and miss home, we can’t help but be sad to leave the people we met in Paraguay behind. We will continue to pray for and work here in Paraguay. The harvest is much but the workers are few, so we pray that God gives them the strength and endurance to carry on His mission.

Day 3: Our students got to sight see around Paraguay today! They went and saw the capital and a beautiful cathedral where our group learned about stories that drive catholic beliefs in Paraguay. Then our group drove through the country side looking at all the villages. Finally, we rode a boat and got to see God’s amazing creation!

Day 2: It’s rainy season in Paraguay, but our students didn’t let that slow them down! We started our day off by heading to the seminary where Pastor Kevin Jordan led a class. There was great participation from the seminary students as well as our group! After that, our group headed back to the church where they got straight to work painting and cleaning rooms. Some of our students got stuck in the rain, but that didn’t get their spirits down! Afterwards, our students returned back to the house in time for a candle lit fellowship together.

This week at camp our theme was “Transformed.” Our key verse was Romans 12:2 calling us to “not be conformed to the patterns of this world but to be transformed by the renewal of [our] mind.”

Our students this week focused on how their identity is not found in the things of this world and the identities that the world calls us, but in the Lord that calls us sons and daughters of the King. Through finding our identity in the Lord we are able to fully be transformed for His purpose.
