Recently, Lake Waco was stocked with just a tad over 60,000 Lonestar Bass fingerlings from the program. In a few short years, many of these 2-inch long fish will be biting your hooks. Good luck out there anglers!

When the lake is too low to find vegetation to use as cover, you have to switch to the next best things. Docks, stumps, riprap, and trees provide other good coverage for incoming Lonestar Bass fingerlings.

Over 140,000 were stocked in Lake Limestone last week. These were spread all over the middle and upper reservoir.

Lonestar Bass are direct offspring of the bass donated to the hatcheries from anglers around the state this year. In short, this means their mothers were 13+lbs and these fish have the best genetics possible to maximize the potential for trophy bass.

Attention Anglers!

Glen Rose Town Lake has been stocked with about 1000 trout. Get out and catch some this weekend!

Reminder:
The daily bag limit is 5 fish per person per day, there is no minimum length limit on Rainbow Trout, anglers may use no more than 2 poles at a time, and anglers 17 years and older must have a fishing license.

This week, Amsler Park in McGregor, Bailey Lake in Burleson, Glen Rose Town Lake in Glen Rose, The Paluxy River at Dinosaur Valley State Park, and Hidden Vista Lake in Burleson were all stocked with plenty of rainbow trout. Good luck to all anglers who try and catch themselves a limit!
