Another busy afternoon for multiple departments in the county working fires both in Atascosa and Bexar County. This evening Jourdanton Fire was toned to assist Poteet Fire with a RV fire that was threatening multiple structures. Rossville VFD and Pleasanton Fire assisted and all units were able to clear the scene in a little over an hours time. Solid Work by all departments on getting a quick stop.

Yesterday afternoon Jourdanton Fire was alerted to help Pleasanton Fire and Campbelton Fire with a fast moving grass fire that entered heavy brush. The first arriving units from Jourdanton Pleasanton and Whisett protected three homes until additional units from Leming arrived to assist. Christine, Blackhills, Leming and AtaBexar assisted. We also had units from Karnes county, live oak county, SAFD Wildland Attack, and Texas Forestry Dozer and Aircraft divisions all worked to contain this fire. Thank you to the Jourdanton Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary for bringing the rehab unit to assist all the units. No homes or barns were affected and no injuries reported. Definitely a rough day on equipment.
