⚠️ SCAM ALERT — PLEASE SHARE

The Jourdanton Police Department is investigating a phone scam targeting local businesses.

Scammers are calling from blocked numbers, claiming they are on the line with the business owner, JPD, and the company’s bank. They ask for employee names and then call employees directly, attempting to pressure them into sending money.

Jourdanton PD will NEVER call and ask anyone to remove money from a register, withdraw personal funds, or send payments of any kind.

If you receive a call like this:

• Hang up immediately
• Do NOT send money
• Do NOT share personal information
• Call Jourdanton PD at (830) 769‑3434

Chief Standridge delivered an exceptional course, and I’m grateful for the knowledge shared. A big thank you to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office for hosting this much‑needed training.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Zanderson yesterday afternoon and located a female under the influence of narcotics. She was taken into custody, and a search of the vehicle revealed dangerous drugs, THC v**e pens, and drug paraphernalia.

Excellent work by Officer Moczygemba and Sgt. Torres.

Ma*****na Arrest During Friday Morning Traffic Stop

On Friday morning, Officer Aguilar was working traffic enforcement in the Toby Ridge Subdivision when he stopped a vehicle and discovered ma*****na inside. The driver was arrested without incident.
