School will dismiss early on today, September 4! Elementary will dismiss at 2:15pm and the buses will roll from high school at 2:30pm. School will be out Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. We look forward to welcoming students back on September 8.

A message from the Smackover-Norphlet School District regarding Saturday’s Battle of 82:

The Smackover-Norphlet School District is extremely excited to host our neighbors from Junction City this Saturday for the Battle of 82 Trophy. However, with this being a rivalry game and on Saturday we would like to take some extra precautions to help ensure safety and overcrowding at restrooms and concessions. Our hope is to make everyone’s experience here at Buckaroo Stadium the best it can be. We will have extra law enforcement and all administration from both districts on site to help with traffic and crowding. We hope everyone has a great time and cheers for your team!

Our K–4 afterschool students enjoyed a fun, hands-on lesson about mindfulness with the Union County Family and Consumer Sciences team!

Students created mindfulness glitter bottles while learning how deep breathing and taking a moment to pause can help when dealing with big feelings like worry, frustration, or anger.

Thank you to the Union County Family and Consumer Sciences team for providing such a meaningful and engaging activity for our students! 💜💛

Have You Filled a Bucket Today?🪣💛

Our 5th and 6th grade After-School Program students learned how kindness, positive words, and our actions can impact others. Students created their own “buckets” and filled their classmates’ buckets with encouraging messages and compliments.

A sweet reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference!
