The Junction City Library will be closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week for the Scandinavian Festival. One of the main stages is right in front of the library though, so come on down to the festival and enjoy the live music and dancing!

Another great week of summer reading program! This week we had Lane Literacy come to the community center for stories and crafts! (Swipe through to see some of the awesome results)! A special thank you to Savage Comics for donating comic books for us to hand out, and to Scott and Ginger the therapy dog for joining us. The kids and adults alike enjoyed sitting with Ginger and petting her soft fur. Yay for dogs and literacy!

We had so much fun at our bee event with the Eugene Science Center! Our families learned how bees use tiny hairs to collect pollen, how their compound eyes see the world, and how they dance to share directions with other bees to the best flowers. We love our bee pollinators!

We also made clay wildflower pods to plant for the bees, bee necklaces, and did some coloring, reading, and eating of honey sticks! SO FUN! 🐝
