The City of Junction City has been made aware of a system error that caused customers with utility bills normally due on the 17th of the month to receive a premature second notice email.

If your bill is due on the 17th, please disregard the second notice email sent in error. Your original due date has not changed.

Monday, May 18th starting at 5:30pm at CL Hoover Opera House the City/County/Board of Education will have their joint quarterly meeting. I do not have an agenda to provide yet but will share once I do.

As we saw during the City Commission meeting today, it does not appear we will receive majority support to legalize chickens through the will of the commission. I understand our city attorney will still continue to facilitate additional details about the experiences of local towns who have legalized chickens to present, but based on the consensus formed today I will be preparing to approach the proper processes to place this on the ballot and put it in the hands of the people for the final say. 🐔
