Sometimes the hardest part is just showing up.
One ILP family arrived late and feeling unsure about attending a music playgroup for the first time. They worried about how their child would respond in a new environment and around other children.
But once they stepped inside, everything shifted.
Their child immediately engaged drawn to the guitar, exploring the room, and enjoying the music in his own way. As he thrived, his parents began to relax, connect with other families, and realize they weren’t alone in their experience.
By the end of the session, conversations were flowing, new friendships were forming, and families were even making plans to attend an ASL class together.
