Legionnaires’ sense of obligation to community, state and nation drives an honest advocacy for veterans in Washington. The Legion stands behind the issues most important to the nation's veterans community, backed by resolutions passed by volunteer leadership. The American Legion’s success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. The organization belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.

Wednesday-July 30, 2025: Alaska National Guard Day/Veterans Appreciation Dinner!

All Active, Reserve, and National Guard members, and veterans, along with their families or significant others, are invited to attend.

There will be steaks, ribs, chicken, and a variety of side dishes and drinks served

Volunteers are needed to help before, during,

National Guard Day this Friday. Join the Get together
Veterans Appreciation Dinner- Free of charge to all Juneau veterans this
Friday evening JULY 29th at the JUNEAU Yacht Club 1301 Harbor Way.
Mark your calendars-Great Food Steaks, Chicken, side dishes and alcohol and
non-alcohol refreshments. Bring your family and friends.
This is Juneau's way of saying "Thank You for Your Service" from our many
Veteran Supporting Juneau businesses!!
The American Legion Post #25 is hosting the event at the JUNEAU YACHT CLUB.
1301 Harbor Way. Come join the fun and run into comrades and friends you
might not have seen for awhile.

A special thanks to the great merchants and businesses that have generously
pitched in to provide you a "thank you for your service" dinner.

Doors open at 1630 snacks and beverages. Dinner served at 1730 with
socializing to follow.

Good Day Post #25 Members and friends,

We have a combined super event at the Post this Saturday, April 23rd kicking off at 10:30 AM.

1030 AM Coffee time and fire preparation. Tax Paper burning event (we need to get the fire nice and hot for a proper flag disposal). Bring any of your old tax records or other outdated and sensitive papers and we will securely burn them. Note for proper flag disposal we must have a clean fire so we ask that you promptly show up at 1030 for tax paper burning.

1100 AM Flag Disposal. Post 25 will host a flag disposal ceremony and properly dispose of worn Juneau area flags.

1115 till ? Work Party

Noon-Brats and Burgers-Social time. All Post members, VFW members, and friends invited. Time to fire up the grill for the first Spring event of the year.

Noon during Meal- Medal of Honor Video Presentation -Adjutant Fred Thorsteinson

1PM till ? complete Post work party tasks and clean up as needed.

Legion or VFW Head cover is requested if you are participating directly in the Flag disposal ceremony.

Come join and pitch in where you want to help and serve. Many hands make light work. Light duty-Heavy comradeship.

Hope to see you this weekend-rain or shine. Feel free to drop by for the full event or part-time to say Hi. It would be great to see you all.
