Leadership is often about the hard work of building bridges to get results. In the world of the state legislature, you rarely get 100% of what you want, but you work tirelessly to get what your community needs.

This week, the Florida House budget was released, and I am incredibly grateful for the work Representative John Snyder has done for us to ensure that a record number of Jupiter-specific items were included. These Jupiter projects were hard-won, and their inclusion in this first draft ensures they move forward in negotiations.

Working with Town staff, we outlined several appropriations requests last year. These budget items are investments in our safety, our environment, and our infrastructure. They include:

✅ High speed rail safety fencing
✅ Sawfish Bay improvements to help keep our waterways clean
✅ A traffic signal at Toney Penna and Central Boulevard—a project residents always tell me is very important to them. 🚦

See the House General Appropriations Act here: 🔗 https://flhouse.gov/Budget/2026

We have a shared goal: a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Jupiter. As Council's representative for State legislative activities this year, I’m encouraged by our collaboration during this important step in the process.

This is an absolute favorite! The Pine Glades Natural Area is a short drive down Indiantown Road, or catch a beautiful Muhly grass display along Central Blvd. between Frederick Small and Indian Creek. Enjoy!

Do you have a few minutes?

I just finished the online survey for residents (with separate surveys also available for businesses and planning/engineering experts) for the Palm Beach Countywide Transportation Master Plan.

✅ 28 questions
⏱️ About 10 minutes

It asks things like:

How long is your daily commute?

What safety hazards do you encounter most often (distracted driving, no streetlights, flooding)?

What should the County prioritize — roads, bike lanes, rail, etc. — and in what order?

The link to get to the survey if here: www.pbcmoves.com (scroll to "Your Input Matters")

THANK YOU for helping us make sure Jupiter's voices are heard!

If looking for something fun and free to do this afternoon with kids, I wanted to share that the Maplewood Park playground is currently open for play! It's got shade, fast slides, new benches and bike racks, and a swing even my 10 year old loves. The grand opening ceremony is this Friday at 3:30pm and we hope you enjoy it!

It’s time to celebrate! Our clocktower is back in action - thanks to everyone who helped get this done!!! 🕰️🎉
