The City of Jurupa Valley is excited to launch the Canterra Affordable Home Purchase Opportunity, giving income-qualified homebuyers the chance to purchase one of three newly built homes for $87,000–$115,500.

📅 Lottery Period: Aug. 31–Oct. 15, 2026

📍 Canterra is a new housing community near Jurupa Road and Camino Real in Jurupa Valley.

The City was pleased to welcome Congressman Mark Takano on August 12 for a tour of key projects throughout the community.

During his visit, Congressman Takano presented a ceremonial check for $850,000 in federal funding to support the Limonite Avenue Roadway Improvements Project. The project will rehabilitate approximately three-quarters of a mile of Limonite Avenue between Bain Street and Homestead Street, widen an existing bridge, construct a new culvert to allow Pyrite Creek to flow beneath the roadway, and help address longstanding flooding concerns by raising the roadway's vertical alignment.

Council Member Chris Barajas and City Manager Rod Butler accepted the check on behalf of the City and thanked Congressman Takano for his continued support of Jurupa Valley's infrastructure needs.

This free community event is a great opportunity to learn more about what’s happening in Jurupa Valley. Join Mayor Brian Berkson for an exciting look back at the City’s accomplishments over the past year, ongoing projects, what’s ahead, and the continued celebration of Jurupa Valley’s 15th anniversary! 🎉
