🚐 Our mobile clinic recently rolled into District 3, offering free spay and neuter services to local pet owners, thanks to Supervisor Chuck WashingtonSupervisor Chuck Washington .

These services help prevent unplanned litters and reduce the number of animals in shelters. Mobile spay/neuter clinics are made possible through our partnerships with the Riverside County Board of Supervisors and partner cities.

We appreciate the community for showing up and making sure their pets live healthy lives.

It’s Foster Appreciation Week!

Behind so many happy endings is a foster who said, “I’ll take them.”

Fosters open their homes to newborn kittens who need feedings around the clock, orphaned puppies who need time to grow, pets recovering from medical challenges and shelter animals who simply need a break.

For some, fostering lasts a few days or weeks. For others, foster becomes forever. Every stay gives a shelter pet more time, care and opportunity to find the right home.

When Sully arrived at our shelter, his small body was covered in more than three pounds of severely matted fur. Our team removed the mats, cared for him and helped reveal the little dog underneath.
Then came his next chapter. Sully joined 47 other RivCo dogs on a lifesaving flight to Pennsylvania with the ASPCA and Brandywine Valley SPCA, where he’ll have a new opportunity to find a family.

It’s National Dog Day!

Today belongs to the couch hogs, treat negotiators, professional snugglers, tennis ball fanatics and dogs who somehow take up 90% of the bed.

And for the dogs still waiting in our shelters, we hope today brings them one step closer to having a couch, a bed and a family of their own.

There’s still time to Clear the Shelters. Adoption fees are WAIVED now through the end of August, so National Dog Day is a pretty good day to bring home a dog.

Piggy had the perfect Dog Day Out. 🐷🐾

She headed to the park, checked out the ducks, explored her surroundings and, of course, made time to roll around in the grass.

Piggy is a 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who has been waiting at our Riverside Shelter since July 12. At 67 pounds, she’s ready to trade shelter life for park days, grass rolls and adventures with a family of her own.

Right now, Piggy’s adoption fee is WAIVED as part of Clear the Shelters! ❤️

All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, a microchip and an engraved name tag.
