🌙 WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING… WE WERE WORKING 🚔

While most of our community was asleep, Jurupa Valley Station deputies were actively working a missing person investigation.

When time matters and large areas need to be searched, our deputies have a number of resources available to assist—including unmanned aerial systems (drones).

Drones allow our teams to quickly search large or difficult-to-access areas from above, providing another valuable set of eyes during critical incidents and helping deputies cover ground more efficiently.

Whether on the ground or in the air, our deputies continue working around the clock to help keep our communities safe.

This morning, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station conducted an illegal electric motorcycle (e-moto) enforcement operation in the city of Eastvale. The operation focused on the unlawful operation of electric motorcycles.

The operation resulted in the following:

11 electric motorcycles or scooters were towed and stored.
11 citations for 12500(a) CVC - Driving without a driver's license.
3 citations for 24016(d) CVC - Tampering or Modifying and electric bicycle
1 citation for 14607 CVC - knowingly permit a child under 18 years old to drive a motor vehicle upon a highway unlicensed.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Office would like to make sure parents and guardians are aware an electric bicycle (e-bike) with no pedals and a motor exceeding 750 watts is an electric motorcycle and cannot be legally operated by an unlicensed driver on public throughfares. Electric motorcycles such as Sur-Ron and Talaria are strictly manufactured for off-road use and lack mandated road safety equipment to drive on the highways.

Some Sundays are quiet. Others remind us why proactive patrol matters.

During a routine Sunday call, deputies contacted an individual who was found to be in possession of an illegally possessed firearm. The firearm was safely confiscated, and the investigation continued.

Our deputies remain committed to proactive policing and working every day to keep illegal fi****ms off our streets and our communities safe. Good job W2!

Today, Deputy Villa used his American Sign Language (ASL) skills.

Law enforcement is about more than responding to emergencies—it’s about connecting with the people we serve. Whether it’s problem-solving, providing resources, or communicating in another language or through ASL, our deputies are committed to serving every member of our community with professionalism, compassion, and respect.

Sometimes the most valuable tool an officer carries isn’t on their duty belt—it’s the ability to communicate.
