One of the most important parts of Child Abuse Awareness Month is education! Our staff has been visiting various schools in our service area during the month of April to educate staff & personnel about AOCAC, our services, and how to recognize abuse.

What do I do if I suspect child abuse is going on?
The DCFS Hotline 1-800-252-2873 operates 24/7 as well as their online reporting system. When calling the DCFS Hotline, provide as much information about the child that you can. If not much information is known, that's okay! It is always important to call.
For non-lifethreatening or non-emergency incidents, it is okay to use the online reporting system which can be accessed here :

If you believe a child is in true, immediate danger it is best to call 911. Always remember, it is not your job to investigate! Provide the hotline or online reporting system with as much information as you can, and they will take the investigation from there.

Today marks the first day that our pinwheels will be on display outside of AOCAC. 337 pinwheels have been placed on our lawn/garden boxes by staff to represent the 337 children/teens who were forensically interviewed last year at All Our Children's Advocacy Center. Our pinwheels will stay on the AOCAC lawn for 337 hours (1 hour for each child). Please stop by to visit our pinwheel garden! 💙

Purchase a pinwheel and join us in the fight against child abuse! Monday will be the first day that our pinwheels will be on display. AOCAC will be displaying 337 pinwheels for each child/teen that was interviewed in 2025. Visit our pinwheel display anytime from April 13th-April 27th.
