Our hearts are with the families, friends and fellow service members of the two soldiers who tragically lost their lives in Bell County last week.

Justin Fire Department's Captain Swafford was serving on a TIFMAS deployment as an Engine Boss during the response to this tragic incident. We are grateful for his service and for the TIFMAS program, which allows JFD personnel to assist communities across Texas while maintaining full coverage and continuing to protect our residents here at home.

Please join us in keeping the soldiers’ families and all those affected by this loss in your thoughts and prayers.

Justin Fire is grateful for the incredible kindness shown to our department and community.
Julie with Humane Tomorrow, an organization dedicated to equipping first responders across the Metroplex with life-saving pet oxygen kits.
Thanks to their generous donation, these specialized Pawprint Oxygen kits will be placed on of our frontline engines and medics. Having these resources on board ensures our crew is fully equipped to care for your four-legged family members in emergency situations when they need it most.
Thank you again to Julie and Humane Tomorrow. We truly appreciate the overwhelming support!

🎒📚 BACK TO SCHOOL TOMORROW! 🚌✏️

Northwest ISD students head back to class tomorrow! As everyone settles into a new school year routine, please help keep our students safe.

🚗 Slow down and watch for reduced speeds in school zones.
🚌 Stop for school buses when lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended.
🚸 Keep an eye out for students walking or biking to school.
📵 Put the phone down and stay alert behind the wheel.
⏰ Give yourself a few extra minutes. Expect more traffic and a few first week delays.

Whether you’re headed to school, work, or just across town, a little extra patience and attention can make a big difference.

Wishing all of our Northwest ISD students, families, teachers, and staff a safe and wonderful first day back! 💙📚

🚧 Traffic Alert: Sealy Street Closure 🚧
Please be advised that Sealy Street is temporarily closed between 3rd Street and 4th Street in front of the Justin Fire Department.

A contractor is on site today performing the annual cleaning and inspection of firefighters’ personal protective equipment (PPE). This important maintenance helps ensure our firefighters’ gear remains clean, safe, and ready to protect them when they answer the next call.

Please use an alternate route if traveling in the area. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this important work to keep our firefighters safe.

🚒 Justin Firefighters Answer the Call Across Texas 🚒

Several members of the Justin Fire Department are currently deployed through the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS), a statewide program that allows fire departments to provide trained personnel and equipment to communities across Texas during large-scale emergencies such as wildfires and natural disasters.

Current deployments include:

• Engine 572: Fredericksburg area with three Justin firefighters and one Fort Worth firefighter.
• Tender 572: Menard with one Justin firefighter and one Sanger Fire Department firefighter.
• One additional Justin firefighter is assigned to a Roanoke Fire Department apparatus.

While these firefighters are serving communities in need, the Justin Fire Department remains fully staffed and ready to respond to emergencies here at home. Residents can be confident that emergency services within the City of Justin continue without interruption.

We are incredibly proud of our firefighters for representing Justin with professionalism and servant leadership as they assist fellow Texans during this critical time. Please join us in wishing them a safe deployment and a safe return home.

🚒 Proactive Planning. Stronger Partnerships. Safer Response.

Beginning October 1, the Justin Fire Department will begin using a new emergency response platform called First Due, an investment that will enhance our ability to respond quickly, safely, and effectively when emergencies occur.

First Due combines computer aided dispatch, incident reporting, scheduling, district and hydrant mapping, and pre-fire planning into one comprehensive system.

As part of this proactive initiative, JFD crews have begun training and visiting businesses throughout Justin to develop pre-fire plans. These plans document important building features such as exits, utility shutoffs, fire protection systems, and other critical information that can help firefighters make informed decisions during an emergency.

These visits are more than a training opportunity. They are a chance to build relationships with our local business community, answer questions, and become familiar with each facility before an emergency ever happens. This proactive approach benefits everyone by helping reduce response times, improving firefighter safety, and better protecting lives and property.

If you see our firefighters at your business over the coming weeks, please take a moment to say hello. We appreciate your partnership as we continue working together to keep Justin safe.
