π Proactive Planning. Stronger Partnerships. Safer Response.
Beginning October 1, the Justin Fire Department will begin using a new emergency response platform called First Due, an investment that will enhance our ability to respond quickly, safely, and effectively when emergencies occur.
First Due combines computer aided dispatch, incident reporting, scheduling, district and hydrant mapping, and pre-fire planning into one comprehensive system.
As part of this proactive initiative, JFD crews have begun training and visiting businesses throughout Justin to develop pre-fire plans. These plans document important building features such as exits, utility shutoffs, fire protection systems, and other critical information that can help firefighters make informed decisions during an emergency.
These visits are more than a training opportunity. They are a chance to build relationships with our local business community, answer questions, and become familiar with each facility before an emergency ever happens. This proactive approach benefits everyone by helping reduce response times, improving firefighter safety, and better protecting lives and property.
If you see our firefighters at your business over the coming weeks, please take a moment to say hello. We appreciate your partnership as we continue working together to keep Justin safe.
